NCD announces first in-person Council Meeting in four years

WASHINGTON–The Members of the National Council on Disability (NCD) will hold their first in-person Council Meeting since July 2019 when they meet July 12-13 in Washington, D.C.
The meeting is held at the Willard Intercontinental Hotel, 1401 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20004. The event will also be live streamed on Zoom for those not able to attend in person. Registration is not required, but appreciated on our Eventbrite page.
The first day of the meeting includes panels of notable presenters on addressing health disparities through disability clinical care competency training and responding to health disparities of people with disabilities; a public comment session on experiences with healthcare barriers and bias; a presentation on NCD’s project underway regarding germline editing and fetal medicine; a presentation on NCD’s project underway on the inclusion of people with disabilities in clinical trials; and a presentation on NCD’s 2023 progress report that is underway on income limits and asset limitations.
The second day of the meeting includes Council member and staff updates.
