NCD Chairperson Marca Bristo to Deliver Commencement Address at Beloit College

National Council on Disability (NCD) chairperson Marca Bristo will deliver the commencement address to the class of 1999 at Beloit College in Wisconsin, on Sunday, May 16, at 11:00 a.m. More than 1,500 parents and alumni are expected to attend the 149th graduation ceremonies on the lawn of historic Middle College on the Beloit campus.

The college will confer the honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree on her during the ceremonies at which some 300 graduates will receive their baccalaureate degrees. Ms. Bristo is a 1974 graduate of Beloit College.

NCD is an independent federal agency charged with advising the President and Congress on public policy affecting people with disabilities. It is currently coordinating a multi-year study on the implementation and enforcement of the Americans with Disabilities Act and other civil rights laws.
