National Council on Disability To Release Report on the Americans with Disabilities Act

WASHINGTON--The National Council on Disability (NCD) will conduct a news conference to highlight the release of its report Promises to Keep: A Decade of Federal Enforcement of the Americans with Disabilities Act on Tuesday, June 27, at 10:00 a.m., at the National Press Club, Holeman Lounge, 529 14th Street, NW, Washington, DC.

The federal agencies covered in this report include the Department of Justice, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Department of Transportation, and the Federal Communications Commission. Promises to Keep will be the third in NCD's "Unequal Protection Under Law" series of independent analyses of federal civil rights enforcement for Americans with disabilities.

Speakers will include Marca Bristo, chairperson, National Council on Disability; Wade Henderson, executive director, Leadership Conference on Civil Rights; Andrew J. Imparato, president and chief executive officer, American Association of People with Disabilities; and Jennifer Jones, chairperson of the Youth Leadership Council.
