United Nations Convention for People with Disabilities To Be Topic on Voice of America's "Talk to America" Show

WASHINGTON-Lex Frieden, chairperson of the National Council on Disability (NCD), and former NCD member John D. Kemp will be guests on Voice of America's "Talk to America", a daily international call-in talk show at 1:00 p.m. EDT on Monday, June 16, 2003. The show will focus on the importance of a United Nations Convention on the human rights of people with disabilities, which will come before the UN later this month. The show will be broadcast simultaneously on radio, television, and the Internet.

"Talk To America" is broadcast every weekday at 1700 UTC through direct shortwave and medium wave broadcasts from the Voice of America or via rebroadcast from various affiliated local AM and FM stations and cable systems throughout the world.
